Swimly+ · For adults · four weeks

Fifty metres shouldn't leave you wrecked.

A four-week program for adults whose freestyle exhausts them — rebuild the stroke from the water up and swim further with less effort.

You can swim. But two laps of freestyle and you're hanging on the wall, heart going, wondering how the person in the next lane cruises past looking bored. So you try harder — and it gets worse.

That is not a fitness problem. Harder effort adds tension, tension sinks your legs, and sunk legs are the drag you are fighting. The fixes are known, and they happen in an order: balance, breathing, catch, kick, rhythm. This program walks that order, one feel at a time.

After four weeks, you have

  • A body position that rides downhill — legs up without kicking harder
  • An exhale that ends the puffed-after-two-laps feeling
  • The bow-and-arrow breath: turning, not lifting
  • A catch that holds water, measured by your own falling stroke count
  • An easy, continuous 200 metres — and the feeling you could keep going
  • Your before and after on film, so the change is visible

What you walk away holding

  • Your personal Freestyle Plan — balance recipe, stroke cues, practice session
  • A before-and-after film pair you own
  • A completion certificate

The easy 200, your after film, and how to fix it yourself from here.

Every session: a short video, one practical task, one reflection. Watching is not the work. Doing is the work.

This is for

  • Adults who can swim but find freestyle exhausting
  • Lap swimmers stuck at the same distance for years
  • Triathletes-to-be who need the stroke before the sport
  • Anyone told to 'just swim more' — who suspects that isn't it

This is not for

  • Complete beginners — Learn to Swim in 30 Days is your program, and it's a better place to start
  • Competitive swimmers chasing race pace — that is in-person coaching territory

Questions, answered

How much pool time does it take?

Two or three visits a week, around thirty minutes each. Every session is a few minutes of video and one focused pool task — no marathon sets.

Do I need to be fit?

No — that is rather the point. The program removes the drag that was making freestyle feel like a fitness problem. Most people find swimming takes less effort every week.

Do I need someone to film me?

The before-and-after films are optional but worth arranging — a phone from the side of the pool is all it takes, and the difference after four weeks is the proof you keep.

What if it isn't right for me?

Email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. No forms, no friction.

What happens after the four weeks?

You keep access, and the program ends with your continuing plan. When you want expert eyes on the details, Swimly's video analysis and Technique Diagnostic are the natural next step — and the ocean program is there when the pool starts feeling small.

Every pool task is done at a lifeguarded pool, never alone. The program guides your practice — it is not supervision. Read our child safety statement.

The water doesn't judge you. Neither do we.
