Privacy policy
Swimly+ is operated by Swimly (Sydney, Australia). We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Short version: we collect the minimum we need to run your program, we never sell it, and you can ask for it or ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, and for swimmers under 18 a first name, last initial and birth year.
- Program work: responses, reflections, confidence scores, and files you upload.
- Payments: processed by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.
- Usage: page events that tell us where the program works and where it loses people.
How we use it
- To run your program: progress, plans, certificates, coach feedback.
- To send program emails (week starts, feedback, completion). Non-essential email can be turned off from any message.
- To keep children safe — see our child safety statement.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage, Sydney region) and Cloudflare (program video). Emails are sent via Resend. Payments run on Stripe. Each provider processes data only to provide their service to us.
Children
Swimmers under 18 join only with parent or guardian consent, with reduced data collection and private-by-default responses. The full detail is in our child safety statement.
Access, correction and deletion
Email info@swimly.com.au to request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. A parent or guardian can make the request for a linked swimmer. Deletion removes uploaded files permanently and scrubs written responses; purchase records are retained where the law requires.
Retention
Program content and progress stay while your account is active so your access is ongoing. Uploaded submission files are deleted on request at any time, and accounts inactive for more than 3 years are flagged for deletion contact.
